Smart automatic railway crossing gate control system
The railway crossing accidents are increasing day by day due
to unman railway crossings And highway
there are so many railway accidents happening due to the carelessness in manual
operations or lack of workers which will causes high loss of humans lives so it’s
important to reduce this problem by control the gate automatically
So here we introduce Railway Crossing Gate
Control System it give notification to gate controller that train was coming
and he can close gate and when it pass away then open the gate, and also give warning when train is near the gate crossing

In this system we uses IR sensors to
detect the arrival and departure of trains at the railway level crossing and controller the opening or closing of gates. The system uses two IR
sensors to detect the arrival of the train and a third IR sensor to detect the
departure of the train. When the1st IR sensor sense that the train arrival
of the train is sensed, signals are provided to the traffic indicating the
arrival of the train on the track then the gate will open automatically.
When the second sensor detects the
train then the signal turns red and the motor operates to close the gate. The
gate remains closed until the train completely moves away from the level cross.
When the departure of the train is detected by the third sensor, then it will
give the warning massage inform of buzzer. Thus automation of the gate
operations at the railway level cross is achieved using sensors.
